Welcome to Emilia’s World!
Emilia Rydberg has sold over 4.5 million albums! As you might guess, thanks to the song “Big Big World”, that became a international hit in 1999. Emilia was only 19 at that time, and had just graduated from The Adolf Fredrik’s Music School in Stockholm, Sweden.
A couple of years, three albums and a few life experiences later she is now releasing a new album “My World”, on her own record label Mitiku Music.
Gone is the young naiveté (she’s sweet, but…). Back is the beautiful voice and the zest for music -  this time in a more grown up packaging, with a big portion of self-irony!

Emilia about the album:
The new album “My World” connects my newest hit “You’re My World” with “Big Big World”. At the same time it is an invitation to my fans: This is my world. A world from a woman’s perspective. The album contain vibrant emotions, and is a way of making peace with my self and old lovers. The songs are as spicy, juicy and dramatic as my creative alter ego.
Welcome!

And - a sneak-peak into Emilia’s world:
Full name: Hanna Emilia Rydberg.
Day of birth: 5 January, 1978.
Hair colour: Brown.
Eye colour: Brown.
Height: 156 cm. (Same as Madonna – sounds better that way…)
Best friends: Sofia and Christina.
My idol: Stacey Kent.
My favourite song: Moon River
Yummy, yummy in my tummy:  Ethiopian food, or banana split with meringues.
Best TV-show: Haven’t had a TV for a while, but I like “Weeds”, the DVD-box.
My season: Spring! When small blue flowers cover the hill side outside of my window.
Sport I like to do: Skiing.
Course I take: German conversation class.
I want to: Get old. Don’t want to die in an early age.
Other career dream: Linguist. Love essays about the Swedish language.
I would like to be world’s best at: Debating and to always be able to find the perfect retort that surprises everybody.
Best thing I know: Eyes that meet for a split second.
Worst thing I know: Bills and other anonymous letters. Try to avoid them for as long as I can. And when I finally open them it’s with a feeling of upcoming disaster.  Admit, I’m a little bit of a phobic there.
Hidden talent: Have a great sense of direction! No need for a GPS here. Fly me to Bangkok and I find my way after an hour. Guess it’s because I notice the small details.
Should take care of: My driving skills. But I’m professional at riding my bike! And bike riding is so much more environmental. Think we ought to get tax cuts. Almost voted for the “bike party” last year
On a free day: I sleep in and have a looooong breakfast, reading the newspaper, without ever glancing at the clock.
If I was I drink I would be: Apple Whiskey. Sweet, with a bitter after taste.
